How I Began Memorizing Scripture

Today I'm sharing my story at Janet's blog about how I got started memorizing Scripture. Janet Pope is the one who inspired me to really start  memorizing Scripture. Her book, His Word in My Heart, and her blog on memorizing Scripture, both continue to be great sources of inspiration and information in my Scripture memory journey.

If you'd like to get started in memorizing Scripture or already have been for some time now, I highly recommend her blog and book. You will be blessed wherever you are on your journey to hide His Word in your heart.

Question for you: How has memorizing Scripture impacted your life?

  2. Thanks for this! My husband and I want to memorize scripture better so I'm going to take a look. Our church has a memory verse every week that we go over during worship and that helps too.

  3. Thanks for the info. I've been feeling a great stirring in my heart to memorize more scripture for, oh probably a year or more now, and I've struggled with how to go about it. I've looked at different methods and things, but above all, I want it to be with good motives, you know, not a forced thing, but a spiritual thing. Anyways, I'll be checking into this!

  4. I started memorizing scripture when my pastor encouraged it. Until then, I never realized the importance of it.
