What we set our minds on is important. What we dwell on will make all the difference between us experiencing peace or panic. Read on to find out how to successfully deal with anxious thoughts and enjoy more peace.

Whenever I get set to memorize a passage I like to study up on the passage I’m memorizing so I know the context of the passage as I’m hiding it in my heart. For me, this simple discipline  makes the passage so much more rich and understandable. After studying up on Psalm 71 here are the gems that got me excited to memorize this Psalm, select tips for memorizing, and my complete week-by-week printable plan for memorizing Psalm 71. If you have already memorized this Psalm, feel free to use this as a guide to plan your next memory project. If you haven’t yet memorized Psalm 71, this plan will give you all you need to successfully hide this Psalm in your heart in 2014—regardless of your memory.

Jeremiah points out, "Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and whose hope is the LORD." Jeremiah 17:7 Oh how happy we are when we trust in the Lord, and make the LORD our hope! And the reason? When we are faithful to place our trust in the Lord, He is faithful to bless us. Discover 18 ways God rewards our faith. (Hebrews 11:6) Here’s the first three:

3 Ways God Rewards Your Faith
When you are faithful to trust in the Lord....
1. You will be surrounded by mercy Many sorrows shall be to the wicked; But he who trusts in the LORD, mercy shall surround him. Psalm 32:10
2. You will be kept in perfect peaceYou will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. Isaiah 26:3
3. You will be happy He who heeds the word wisely will find good, and whoever trusts in the LORD, happy is he. Proverbs 16:20

If you desire to memorize any amount of Scripture in 2014 it will be so much easier with a clearly defined goal. Here are my Scripture memory goals. Use them to craft goals you can get excited about and learn how to strategize ways to overcome the anticipated obstacles, so you can successfully reach your goals.

Here is the technique, called Structuring, I use to break down verses for easier memorizing. So simple, but so effective in breaking down a verse into bite-sized pieces for better understanding and easier memorization. Check out this post to see how I do it.

What do you dream to accomplish in 2014? Whatever it is, the first step in successfully pursuing those dreams is to know your reasons. Read on to learn how I pursue my Scripture memory goals and 10 reasons I love memorizing Scripture. This is a post you don’t want to miss if you are planning on setting any goals for 2014 or desire to successfully conquer your 2014 New Year’s Resolution.

Take a look at the 11 Ways the Good Shepherd takes care of us as revealed in Psalm 23. We are so blessed to be His!

Discover the promise that fills me with such hope and joy when I’m in a trial, as well as three things I do to help me find a reason to count it all joy when I face trials of various kinds.

The more you know God the easier it is to trust Him. As you grow in the knowledge of God, you will experience more peace and less worry because you’ll have grown in the knowledge of His character, heart, and promises to you. Here are the three ways that have grown me in the knowledge of God more than
anything else.

Whatever you need today, God knows, He cares, and He will provide what you need in His perfect way and time. Read on to see how God has done this and be encouraged that He will meet your needs too!

  5. I came here from Lisa's post on the Hide His Word FB page. I'm so glad to find the posts and info here. It is so helpful. I tried to click on Making Memorizing Scripture Easier, but for some reason it is isn't working for me. Couldn't find it through your search feature either. I'm wondering what the structuring is. I've had a hard time with Eph.1 because of all the long sentences and wonder if this might be something that would help. God bless you and you continue to press on for Him!
